About Dr. Lakia Kearson

I’m Dr. Lakia Kearson, a pediatric neuropsychologist licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Neuropsychology concentration) at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and a two-year fellowship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. I also trained at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Franciscan Children’s Hospital.

My approach is collaborative and strengths-based. I work with families, schools, and medical teams to translate evaluation results into clear, practical strategies that support your child’s growth and well-being.

  1. How long does testing take? – Most evaluations take 5–7 hours, typically completed in one or two sessions.

  2. How is this different from the school’s evaluation? – Neuropsychological testing is more comprehensive, including attention, memory, executive functioning, and emotional health.

  3. Do you take insurance? – I am out-of-network but provide superbills for possible reimbursement.
